Ohio Ready to Launch Recreational Cannabis Sales Next Week

Ohio is set to kick off recreational marijuana sales as soon as August 6th, following voter approval of adult-use cannabis eight months ago. The Division of Cannabis Control (DCC) is currently granting dual-use certificates to medical marijuana dispensaries, enabling them to sell both recreational and medical products.

While some dispensaries are preparing to start sales on Tuesday, August 6th, the DCC has specified that no sales will occur over the weekend. A formal announcement regarding the start date is anticipated on Monday.
